Our Annual Networking Breakfast, held on the 8th of December 2010, was a great success. Many thanks to all of those who attended and to our guest speakers, Prof. Brian MacCraith, president of DCU, Peter Finnegan, Managing Director of Commuiniqué Intl. and Liam Harbison, CEO and Secretary General of the Paralympic Council of Ireland.

Prof. Brian MacCraith gave us a positive insight into what the future holds for the young people coming through our Universities and Colleges and provided hope for a well educated and business orientated stream of graduates. He also highlighted the potential for the Country to link with the far east and other parts of the globe through our airport and the benefits to the Fingal area should this be achieved.

Peter Finnegan provided tips on how to Network effectively and how to compete at all levels in the difficult market conditions we are confronted with.

Liam Harbison gave us hope for future international sporting success in the Paralymic Games 2012 and showed an inspiring video clip of the excellent athletes who will be competing for our country.

Our own Gerry McInerney gave strategic business advice and spoke on the importance of “getting the balance right” in both our personal and business lives.

Neal Morrison also of McInerney Saunders announced the partnership of McInerney Saunders with the Paralympic Council of Ireland whereby we have committed to providing accountancy and book-keeping services to the Council for the coming three years on a pro bono basis. Neal also announced an agreement made with the Gift Voucher Shop, suppliers of One4all gift vouchers/cards, who have kindly agreed to donate €5 to the Paralympic Council of Ireland for every €250 gift voucher/card purchased where the reference MCIS is quoted. “Companies using this opportunity to reward their staff will now also be supporting their local community” he said.

We would also like to thank the North County Leader who attended the Event for their continued support and for the photographs below.
